Your Free Service Putting You In Control Of Headhunter Calls

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does this site work?

A: When you enter your information and click the "Submit" button, your information and contact preference are captured into a database. Your information will then be provided to between one and three reputable professional recruiters - never law firms, other third parties, or anyone else - who agree only to contact you under the parameters YOU specify, at the time and place of YOUR choosing, and about the types of jobs that YOU want to hear about.

Q: Why should I enter my information?

A: If you are looking to hear about career opportunities, and would prefer to filter out unwanted calls and only hear about the types of jobs you are interested in, or would prefer more calls, calls ar more convenient times, or calls or emails at a phone number or email address other than your work number, then this service can help you achieve those goals, for free.

Q: Is there a cost for using HeadhunterCalls.com or entering my information to help fine-tune recruiter calls?

A: Absolutely not. There is no fee for attorneys using the service.

Q: What if I prefer NOT to be contacted?

A: An early version of this site also offered an option for users to select not to be contacted by headhunters. However, very very few of our users were selecting that option, not enough to be useful as a "Blacklist" that headhunters could not contact. However, if you would like to add your name to our fledgling Blacklist, or remove your name from our databases, please contact me through the Contact Info link on the left.

Q: Who will you provide my information to?

A: Only professional recruiters, and only once we have verified that they are reputable and that they agree to abide by our terms. Your information will never be distributed to law firms, third parties, or any mailing lists.

Q: What about my privacy?

A: We share your concerns about privacy. Your information and preference will only be distributed to verified, reputable legal recruiters (not law firms or anyone else). Also keep in mind that much of this information (your name, phone number, firm name, practice area, years of experience, email address, etc.) are usually already publicly available to headhunters (and everyone else) through many sources - why do you think you get calls from headhunters now? For more detailed privacy information, please read our privacy policy.

Q: What are your "terms" to headhunters?

A: The legal recruiters we work with agree only to contact our users under the terms that YOU specify, at the time and place YOU specify, and about the types of jobs YOU are interested in hearing about. Before working with any headhunters, we will also verify that they are legitimate, reputable headhunters and are not employed by a law firm. Also, headhunters who are disreputable or receive complaints from our users may not be allowed access to our lists.

Q: I am a law firm recruiting director / coordinator. May I have access to your lists?

A: I am sorry, but no. Due to the confidential nature of the information, it will not be provided to law firms directly.

Q: Will I be able to change my mind or update my information?

A: Absolutely. Come back at any time to update your information or change your preferences - when you do, just click the "Returning User / Update" checkbox. Bookmark us! The information and preferences you enter will be presumed to be valid for one year if not updated.

Q: What's the catch?

A: There is no catch. The service is 100% free. Your information will not be distributed to anyone except reputable professional recruiters.

Q: How soon can I expect a call?

A: That depends on a number of factors, including the number of names in our database, if any of the jobs you ask to be contacted about are available in your area, and other factors. But, the more users who sign up, the more headhunters we can work with and the more jobs our users will have access to. So, please, go ahead and sign up, and tell your friends! And, if a headhunter contacts you at an inconvenient time, or about a job you're not interested in, why not tell them about this service and encourage them to use it?
